About The Position

The Night Auditor provides mandatory audits of transactions completed that day for the Hotel Department. The role involves reviewing audit work, ensuring guest charges are accurate, processing reservations and billing, handling guest credit card disputes, and supporting hotel and group accounting. The Night Auditor helps maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment and may perform other or different tasks when circumstances change.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Knowledge of company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
Basic math and budgetary skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Excellent bookkeeping skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience and/or training.
Must have or obtain all required work cards.
Excellent organizational skills to complete necessary tasks.
Excellent guest service skills to deal effectively with guests.
Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
Able to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp as required.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Opera is preferred.

Responsibilities

Check audit work and ensure the accuracy of guest charges.
Enter and confirm all types of reservations in the system, including invitee and non-invitee events.
Check Settlement Control and follow up on no-shows.
Ensure EZ Post and Bit Pay transactions follow correct procedures.
Ensure gift card transactions, online transactions, and room reservations are billed correctly.
Work with guests as needed to finalize credit card disputes.
Work evening, weekend, and holiday hours as required.
Finalize third-party invoices as needed.
Work with the Sales Department to finalize group billing.
Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment at all times.
Perform maintenance and care of the assigned area.
