About The Position

At Residence Inn Palo Alto in Los Altos, California, the Night Audit Guest Service Agent works overnight hours to supervise the hotel, reconcile daily transactions, and help provide guests with a comfortable stay. The role involves reviewing transactions and checklists, assisting guests, handling and reconciling charges, following overnight emergency notification procedures, and communicating across shifts and departments. Available shifts are overnight Friday and Saturday.

Requirements

Previous customer service experience is ideal.
Demonstrated ability to thrive working the overnight shift is ideal.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, write, type, and use basic technology.
Ability to stand for an entire shift.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Review daily transactions and checklists for completion and accuracy.
Ensure guests are served promptly and courteously.
Use problem-solving skills to resolve guest issues to their satisfaction.
Follow cash-handling procedures and post and reconcile charges applied to guest receipts.
Follow emergency notification procedures when overnight issues occur.
Communicate effectively between all shifts and departments.
