About The Position
WBAY-TV in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking a seasoned, engaging anchor to join its market-leading team. The role is for a trusted journalist who can command the anchor desk, excel at breaking news, and deliver compelling enterprise storytelling across linear and digital platforms. The anchor will work with a collaborative newsroom that values strong local journalism and teamwork. The position includes anchoring high-viewership weekday time periods, leading live coverage during breaking news and severe weather, and creating original stories for viewers across Northeast Wisconsin. The anchor will also contribute content and audience engagement across digital, streaming, and social platforms throughout the day, while collaborating with producers, reporters, photographers, and meteorologists.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of news reporter experience.
Nice To Haves
- Anchoring experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Wisconsin or the Upper Midwest is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver authoritative, engaging, and conversational coverage from the anchor desk during high-viewership weekday time periods.
- Lead live coverage of unscripted breaking news and severe weather with clarity and calm.
- Pitch, shoot, write, and present original, high-impact stories for viewers across Northeast Wisconsin.
- Contribute content and video updates and engage audiences across digital, streaming, and social platforms throughout the day.
- Collaborate daily with producers, reporters, photographers, and meteorologists, and foster positive newsroom chemistry.
