About The Position
WOAI is seeking a dynamic, full-time News Anchor who is an outstanding journalist, has a strong on-air personality, and can lead a team. Anchors participate in show planning and regularly produce content. The role calls for a competitive drive to win, openness to innovation, and the ability to use social media to consistently engage with the audience. Collaboration is an important part of the position. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, engaging delivery, writing and news judgment, video shooting and editing, and communication skills. Requirements
- At least 5 years of on-air experience.
- Live commercial television experience.
- Strong in-the-field and live skills.
- Exceptional written communication skills, including a conversational writing style.
- Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation.
- Strong leadership skills, engaging delivery, strong writing skills and news judgment, sharp video shooting and editing skills, and exemplary communication skills.
