This part-time, 1099 position evaluates newly built homes from a customer's perspective, focusing on defects in workmanship, quality, completeness, consistency, and professionalism. Reviews take an average of 1 to 1.5 hours. Reviewers drive to construction sites and conduct reviews on scheduled days, beginning any time between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Reports must be submitted electronically from the site after the review and no later than 5:00 p.m. Reviewers enter results online using their own tablet; training on the Quality Review Report database is provided. Reviewers are not required to walk on roofs or in attics, and no tools, lights, or ladders are used. Drive time is not compensated. Management groups work orders when possible to minimize travel between stops. Reviewers must be available four to five days per week, Monday through Friday, for partial and sometimes full days. Days off must be provided to the scheduler at least a week in advance, except in emergencies. Compensation is paid per completed review: $75–$90 per new review after the introductory period, with an introductory period of 30–60 days at $65–$75 per review. The posting states there is a $10-per-house raise when the introductory period ends.
