This part-time, 1099 position involves reviewing newly built homes from a customer’s perspective to evaluate the quality of finished construction and identify defects in workmanship, quality, completeness, consistency, and professionalism. Reviews take an average of 1 to 1.5 hours. Reviewers drive to construction sites and complete reviews on scheduled days, starting between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Reports must be submitted electronically on site upon completion and no later than 5:00 p.m. Reviewers enter results into an online database using their own tablet; training on the Quality Review Report process is provided. Reviewers are not required to walk on roofs or enter attics, and reviews do not require tools, lights, or ladders. Reviewers must be available four to five days per week, Monday through Friday, for partial and sometimes full days. Days off must be given to the scheduler at least a week in advance, except in emergencies. Compensation is per completed review: $75–$90 per new review after the introductory period, which lasts 30–60 days and pays $65–$75 per review. A $10-per-house raise applies when the introductory period ends. Drive time is not compensated; management will group work orders when possible to minimize driving between stops.
