About The Position

M/I Homes is seeking a New Home Consultant to guide customers through the homebuying journey. The consultant showcases product features, floorplans, and designs to meet customers’ needs and serves as a trusted advisor throughout the homebuilding process. The role involves working with internal teams to support a seamless experience and customer satisfaction from the initial meeting through closing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent training in sales and marketing.
At least 2 years of new home sales experience with a demonstrated track record in sales volume and customer satisfaction.
Goal-oriented, with the ability to balance independent work and collaboration.
Adaptability, confidence, creativity, resiliency, self-motivation, and a customer-service orientation.
Strong communication, active listening, observation, negotiation, selling, and organizational skills.
Computer proficiency and willingness to adapt to new technology.
Must have a personal cell phone for business use and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to demonstrate homes with multiple levels and varying stages of development.

Responsibilities

Convert visitors to new home communities into future homeowners.
Use resources such as marketing materials, model homes, and realtor relationships to generate sales.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and customer service goals with minimal supervision.
Stay informed about market trends and competitors.
Educate potential buyers about M/I Homes’ offerings, community advantages, financing programs, and related topics.
Serve as the primary point of contact for homebuyers from the initial meeting through closing.
Collaborate with internal teams and attend division meetings to support communication and a seamless homebuilding process.
Maintain the M/I Homes brand image by monitoring community appearance and home maintenance.
