About The Position

The New Graduate Trainee program is a fast-paced, six-month program that provides an overview of dealership functions and develops skills for progression into a full-time role within Rush Enterprises’ dealerships. Participants complete program requirements, learn company policies and procedures, and gain working knowledge of the company’s customer base. The program develops business acumen and customer service skills, supporting potential career progression into management roles within Rush Truck Centers. The program includes formal and informal training across three phases. Participants spend two weeks in each dealership department, then two months in each of two selected departments, followed by two months of focused training in their chosen department. Training includes leadership development, HR, marketing, sales, operations, and corporate training. Upon completion, a participant may be recommended for a full-time position at a Rush Truck Centers location. Participants must work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends, and be prepared to work at any location within their division. The position pays USD $26.00 per hour.

Requirements

Must have graduated with at least a bachelor’s degree within the last year.
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends.
Must be interviewed and approved by Regional Management.
Must be willing to relocate.
Must be willing to travel.
Must have a current, valid driver license and a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines of the company’s insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

Work designated hours, with a minimum of 40 hours weekly.
Maintain weekly contact with the program manager.
Follow the program agenda and scheduling and maintain the required contact schedule.
Complete assigned training.
Meet with the GM/RM bi-weekly to discuss progress.
Be prepared to work at any location within the assigned division.
