About The Position

The New Grad RN Program cohort starts October 19th, 2026, at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ. This program offers full-time employment with 12-hour shifts in an assigned department and shift. The program includes an 8-12 week structured orientation with ongoing support through the first year. It focuses on developing clinical reasoning skills through various learning activities in a supportive environment to ensure success in a new nursing career. Opportunities are available in select departments at Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, and Houghton Hospital.

Requirements

  • Must have RN License prior to start date.
  • Current Arizona RN license or compact state license.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS (Must be valid for 90 days upon hire).
  • New grad RNs have 180 days to obtain ACLS or other department-required certifications.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
  • Associates or Diploma in nursing program.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an 8-12 week structured orientation program.
  • Receive ongoing support through the first year of practice.
  • Develop professional relationships through cohort experience and collaboration with peers, preceptors, and educators.
  • Gain experience in clinical reasoning through preceptorship, simulation, case studies, role-playing, group discussions, self-reflection, and active learning activities.
  • Adapt to an evidence-based curriculum that evolves throughout the first year of practice.
