About The Position

The New Car Lot Porter maintains the dealership’s appearance, assists with vehicle movement, and provides customer service. The role involves organizing and staging new-car inventory, helping prepare vehicles for customer deliveries, transporting vehicles as needed, and supporting the sales department with related tasks. The porter is expected to follow company safety policies and report incidents promptly.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physically able to drive and move vehicles.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug testing, a background check, and an MVR check.

Previous experience in a similar role or in the automotive industry.
Basic knowledge of vehicles.

Responsibilities

Move, stage, and park new vehicles to keep inventory organized and customer-ready.
Assist with vehicle deliveries, including final preparation and staging for presentation.
Transport new vehicles between dealership locations or to offsite storage as needed.
Keep the new-car lot, showroom entrances, and display areas clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Provide friendly, professional customer service and direct customers to sales staff as needed.
Support the sales department with tasks such as installing dealer tags, checking fuel levels, and performing light detailing touch-ups.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and immediately report incidents to a manager or supervisor.
