About The Position

The Sales Porter assists with customer deliveries, provides transportation for customers, and keeps new and used vehicle lots neat and organized as directed by management. The role also includes weather-related cleanup, cleaning driveways, sidewalks, and other areas, and moving vehicles around the dealership in accordance with dealership display requirements. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Additional listed duties include removing trash and performing preparatory and make-ready tasks in vacant units as assigned by the maintenance supervisor, and updating the Service Manager on work status and potential liabilities. The position requires teamwork, cooperative working relationships, and interest in the company’s core furnishings business and food and beverage offerings.

Requirements

• Good physical condition, stamina, and strength, including the ability to lift heavy equipment and luggage.
• Familiarity with security regulations.
• Solid verbal communication skills for interacting with cleaning staff, technicians, and customers.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability to work shifts and flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Clean driveways, sidewalks, and other areas as directed by management.
• Drive vehicles to different areas of the dealership as directed and in accordance with dealership display requirements.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with people contacted in the course of duties.
• Identify areas for improvement and offer suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Remove trash and perform preparatory and make-ready tasks in vacant units as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
• Update the Service Manager on work status and communicate potential liabilities.
• Participate in teamwork and foster a harmonious working climate.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of and interest in the RH core furnishings business and food and beverage offerings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
