About The Position

The New Business Specialist performs a variety of administrative and customer service functions for the MWG-Broker Services Team. To perform the job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years of previous administrative or clerical experience.
  • Proficient in computer skills and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Windows, Excel, and Word.
  • Possess time management, organizational, problem solving, and customer service skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to multitask while maintaining attention to details.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must have intermediate typing skills
  • Must be able to work as scheduled.
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position as stated above can be fully met.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and sit or stand at a desk during 85% of the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, and carry small equipment items and supplies, possibly weighing up to 20lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in insurance, finance, or other related fields is preferred.
  • Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process, organize, and update information for new and existing groups.
  • Prepare, organize, update, generate, and issue renewal letters.
  • Keep renewal information for next year and maintain renewal folders on all groups.
  • Process renewal date changes for existing groups.
  • Generate and issue agent loss ratio reports.
  • Maintain Business Management system for new groups and existing groups.
  • Update and maintain sales spreadsheets.
  • Order department supplies.
  • Prepare and update reports for new and existing business.
  • Assist Underwriter & New Business Manager with various tasks.
