About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Neuro IR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing critical care in a fast-paced environment, specifically as a member of the Neuro IR Stroke Team. The ideal candidate will have ICU experience and be equipped to handle a variety of complex patient needs. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and Level II Pediatric Trauma, and is on the Journey to Magnet Status Designation. It is a Primary Stroke and Chest Pain Center and a Teaching Hospital with a total of 417 beds.

Requirements

• ICU experience is required
• Registered Nurse (RN) certification is required
• Must possess BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Completion of an accredited nursing education program
• Current South Dakota Board of Nursing License

Nice To Haves

• EPIC is required; Epic Cupid is preferred

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive care for patients with neurological conditions
• Administering medication and managing IV/Vasoactive drips
• Conducting patient assessments and monitoring vital signs
• Operating and troubleshooting medical equipment, including: Endotracheal ventilation management, Arterial line setup and monitoring, External Ventricular Drains (EVDs) management, Chest tubes, Swan/Cordis central line catheter use
• Supporting ventilated and tracheostomy patients
• Monitoring recovery and puncture sites after arterial procedures
