About The Position

The Neuro IR Registered Nurse will be a vital member of the Stroke Team and is responsible for the care and management of patients with neurological issues. This role involves managing patients requiring endotracheal ventilation, including basic management and understanding of ventilators, as well as managing tracheostomy patients, including ventilation through a stoma. The nurse will administer and monitor vasoactive and sedation drips, safely use and monitor paralytics, and set up, troubleshoot, and manage arterial lines. Additionally, the role includes caring for patients with External Ventricular Drains (EVDs) and Camino ICP monitoring, using and monitoring external pacemakers and chest tubes, managing Swan/Cordis central line catheters, and monitoring arterial puncture sites.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) with a completed nursing education program approved by a board of nursing.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
ICU experience is a must.
At least 2 years of clinical experience.
Travelers must live 100+ miles from the facility.
