About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Candidates must possess relevant experience and skills to excel in this dynamic environment. The unit includes 7 Pre/Post Bays and 2 Procedural Suites. RNs may float to other procedural areas if their skillset qualifies, such as the cath lab pre/post area. Orientation includes 2 shifts on the unit and 1-2 shifts focused on education/onboarding.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience (for non-travelers).
- At least 2 years of experience (for first-time travelers).
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Experience in ICU care.
- Experience with moderate sedation.
- Experience with arterial line management.
- Experience with medication titration.
- Experience with chest tube management.
- Neuro experience, specifically in thrombectomies and aneurysm coiling.
- Experience with Carotid stent placement.
Nice To Haves
- First-time travelers welcome with at least 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Care for patients undergoing various procedures including Biopsies, UFE procedures, Kyphoplasties, Port placements, Diagnostic angiograms, Interventional arterial procedures, Interventional venous procedures, IVC placements, Venous thrombectomies, Neurological thrombectomies, Coiling, Aneurysm rupture repairs, Paracentesis, and Thoracentesis.
- Manage patient care in procedure rooms with a 1:1 ratio and in the pre/post area with a ratio of up to 1:3.
- Provide care during routine procedures scheduled Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Participate in emergency coverage available 24/7.
- Fulfill on-call requirements, typically occurring every 4 weeks, including one night during the week.
- Cover holidays as required, treating travel staff equally with core staff.
- Float to other procedural areas if skillset qualifies, such as the cath lab pre/post area.
