About The Position

Interventional Radiology Nurse Facility Overview Join a renowned healthcare facility located in Montgomery, AL, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. The facility has 492 beds and is equipped as a Level II Trauma Center and a Level III NICU, as well as a certified Primary Stroke Center. Unit Information Number of Beds: 7 Pre/Post Bays, 2 Procedural Suites Patient Types: Outpatient and Inpatient, including biopsies, uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), kyphoplasties, port placements, diagnostic angiograms, interventional arterial and venous procedures, IVC placements, venous thrombectomies, neurological thrombectomies, coilings, aneurysm rupture repairs, paracentesis, and thoracentesis. Patient Ratios: 1:1 in procedure rooms; up to 1:3 in pre/post areas

Requirements

1-year experience accepted; first-time travelers are welcome with at least 2 years of experience.
BLS certification
ACLS certification
NIHSS certification
ICU care experience
Moderate sedation experience
Arterial line management experience
Medication titration experience
Chest tube management experience

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional patient care in an Interventional Radiology setting.
Manage a variety of outpatient and inpatient procedures including biopsies, embolizations, kyphoplasties, port placements, angiograms, arterial and venous procedures, IVC placements, thrombectomies, coilings, aneurysm rupture repairs, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 in procedure rooms and up to 1:3 in pre/post areas.
Provide care during routine procedures Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with emergency availability 24/7.
Participate in holiday coverage as needed.
Utilize Cerner EMR system.
Operate Plum 360 IV pumps.
Utilize Omnicell for medication dispensing.
Monitor patients using Spacelabs equipment.
