About The Position

The Network Technician 1 works under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager, Network Engineering and follows established guidelines to support network configuration, staging, and project execution across routing, switching, wireless, firewall, and server environments. The role includes basic Layer 2 and IP configuration tasks and works with Network Engineers and Advanced Technology technicians.

Requirements

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Basic understanding of network and connectivity technologies, including router and switch infrastructures and cabling approaches.
Advanced systematic reasoning skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Resourceful problem-solving ability in situations with limited standardization.
Excellent written communication skills, with an emphasis on customer-centric support.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot with users over the phone.
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Perform network configuration jobs under the guidance of the Network Engineer.
Validate that work instruction documents are correct and understandable for Advanced Technology technicians.
Communicate with the team leader when units are ready for quality assurance.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
