About The Position
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) serves as a key liaison for patients and helps ensure a seamless, welcoming experience. The PCC greets patients, introduces them to the office, coordinates treatment services, and builds lasting patient relationships. The position calls for exceptional communication skills, a passion for customer service, and sales ability. The PCC may need to travel for training and to perform job functions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in customer service, sales, reception, or an equivalent role; healthcare or dental experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, office staff, and third-party stakeholders.
- Attention to detail in maintaining patient records and managing financial transactions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with dental practice management software such as Denticon or Dentrix.
- Customer service, sales, reception, or equivalent experience in a healthcare or dental setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients in a timely, professional, and engaging manner.
- Maintain a productive daily schedule and schedule future appointments in coordination with patients and dental staff.
- Provide patient consultations and communicate recommended treatments, service costs, insurance coverage, and payment options.
- Contact patients to follow up on visits and build lasting patient relationships.
- Ensure compliance with health, privacy, and safety regulations.
- Travel as needed for training and to perform job functions.
