This position involves supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries. The role includes managing Network Security Boundary infrastructure and related processes, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers. Responsibilities also encompass providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution, escalating issues, and supporting hardware problems. The administrator will configure and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, configure network components, and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance. United States Citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance (e.g., Active TS/SCI with customer appropriate polygraph) are required due to federal contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of NSSA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Network Security Boundaries
  • Manage Network Security Boundary infrastructure and any processes related to the systems
  • Provide support to Network Security Boundaries including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Basic help desk resolution) and Tier 2 (In-depth technical support) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Provide support for hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers
  • Install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of Information Technology Network Security Boundaries
  • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using Network Security Boundaries
