It involves managing Network Security Boundary infrastructure and any processes related to the systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, load balancers, etc. The role also includes providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution, and supporting the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Support for hardware problems and involvement in their resolution process is also required. The administrator will configure and manage network devices, firewalls, VPNs, web proxies, and load balancers, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
