About The Position

The Network Engineer will work closely with senior members of the team to maintain the integrity of Vistra's internal network, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting network systems for our clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or related experience gained through college degree programs and or certifications in related field
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructures.
• Configure and optimize network performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Conduct network assessments and audits.
• Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Document network configurations and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
