About The Position

The Los Angeles, California office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking a Network Engineer - Platform Services to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the firm's core infrastructure platforms. These include enterprise storage, networking, backup and recovery, virtualization, and related supporting services. The role handles routine operational work such as patching and moves, adds, and changes; validates backups and scheduled maintenance; resolves incidents and service requests; and helps keep infrastructure secure, supported, available, and operational. The engineer works with Information Technology teams, business departments, vendors, and project stakeholders to complete tasks and projects on schedule. The role also identifies operational risks, simplifies support processes, optimizes infrastructure services, and recommends practical solutions to improve resiliency, supportability, security, performance, and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

Five or more years of progressive experience supporting enterprise infrastructure operations, including several of storage, networking, backup and recovery, virtualization, cloud services, and data center technologies.
Experience coordinating cross-functional technical work and leading infrastructure maintenance, upgrade, migration, or recovery activities.
Ability to plan and execute maintenance, patching, upgrades, migrations, and changes using documented implementation, validation, rollback, and communication plans.
Working knowledge of high availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, business continuity, capacity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Ability to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, prioritize remediation, and clearly communicate impacts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple operational assignments and project tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Experience supporting a large, geographically dispersed professional services organization.
Law firm experience.
Relevant technical certifications from infrastructure, cloud, networking, virtualization, storage, or backup vendors.

Responsibilities
