About The Position

The Network Administrator supports secure network operations in a mission-focused environment. This role is responsible for the daily administration of network devices to maintain operational stability, security, and connectivity. The position includes monitoring network performance, applying routine updates, assisting with troubleshooting, and maintaining documentation to support ongoing operations and end-user needs. This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, Master’s degree with 0 years of experience, or 6 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Current active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access required.
  • Must meet DoD 8140/DCWF Work Role 441 requirements, including approved baseline certification and applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities related to network monitoring, fault isolation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience supporting network device operations in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing concepts.
  • Ability to apply configuration changes, patches, and updates in a controlled environment.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise networking equipment such as Cisco or Juniper.
  • Basic knowledge of IPv6 addressing and migration planning.
  • Understanding of wireless networking configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud or virtualized network environments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network devices daily to verify performance, availability, and operational status.
  • Apply routine updates, patches, and configuration changes to support compliance and system stability.
  • Assist with the configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Troubleshoot common connectivity issues and escalate more complex incidents as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including configuration records and change logs.
  • Monitor security alerts and support enforcement of network access and security policies.
