About The Position

Seeking a Network Operations Specialist to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network systems, including LAN, WAN, and wireless multiplexers, hubs, and routers. This role involves using remote monitoring tools, installing and maintaining workstations, managing user access, ensuring security measures, and handling equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments, focusing on network operations, support, maintenance, and administration.
Proven ability to work on medium to high complexity projects/systems/issues.
Experience as a project team member and occasionally as a project leader.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to coach junior staff.

Responsibilities

Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, utilizing remote monitoring tools.
Install and maintain workstations and network devices.
Manage user access and maintain security protocols, including password protection.
Archive files and oversee usage of shared resources.
Handle malfunctioning equipment and resolve technical issues.
Select, develop, integrate, and implement network management applications for Internet components.
Provide daily operations support, maintenance, and administration for network systems.
Work collaboratively on projects, sometimes leading and coaching junior technical staff.
