About The Position

REP is hiring a hands-on NetSuite Platform Architect to serve as the technical authority for its NetSuite ERP and RF-SMART warehouse management system. These platforms support orders, inventory, and finances across multiple U.S. distribution centers, a growing retail footprint, and operations in the UK and Europe. The architect determines how the platforms are designed, changed, governed, and improved, while making them easier to use, maintain, document, and evolve. A central goal is to reduce recurring requests to IT by giving finance, warehouse, customer service, and retail teams safe self-service capabilities. The role designs and builds workflows, dashboards, saved searches, guided record updates, import and mass-update tools, approval flows, Suitelets, and RF-SMART mobile functions with appropriate roles, validation, and audit trails. The position also develops SuiteScript, configures and extends RF-SMART, provides tier-3 support, and owns the sandbox, release, and deployment process. The architect sets technical standards and a configuration envelope for changes analysts may make independently, approves platform changes including partner work, and maintains design records, a customization inventory, runbooks, and user guides. The role maintains a quarterly ERP and WMS roadmap and works with the Enterprise Solutions Architect, Systems Team Manager, Integration Developer, analysts, developers, implementation partners, and business super-users. Requirements and functional design within existing configuration are owned by systems analysts; the Enterprise Solutions Architect decides system ownership and connectivity, while this role determines how those decisions are implemented inside NetSuite. The position is based at REP’s headquarters in a hybrid work environment, with a minimum of three days in the office and flexibility about which days and hours. Travel may be up to 10%, primarily to U.S. distribution centers for warehouse system changes and go-lives.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on NetSuite technical experience, including at least 5 years developing SuiteScript in production environments.
  • At least 2 years owning a production NetSuite environment as an employee of the company operating it after go-live; implementation consulting alone does not meet this requirement.
  • Expert-level NetSuite experience, including OneWorld, multi-subsidiary and multi-currency environments; SuiteScript 2.x (user event, client, scheduled, map/reduce, RESTlet, and Suitelet); SuiteFlow; SuiteBuilder; and SuiteAnalytics (saved searches and SuiteQL).
  • Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), Git or other source control, and structured sandbox-to-production deployment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations—including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and returns—and experience supporting warehouse operations in NetSuite.
  • Experience supporting accounting and finance teams in NetSuite, including how fulfillment and inventory transactions affect the general ledger, costing, and period close.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite governance limits, performance, security, role design, segregation of duties, and release and change management practices.
  • Experience with NetSuite integration interfaces, including SuiteTalk REST and SOAP, RESTlets, and token-based authentication.
  • A track record of building self-service tools that measurably reduced requests to IT.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, and to work productively as a team member.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF-SMART for NetSuite; the posting identifies this as strongly preferred.
  • Working familiarity with integration platforms such as Celigo.
  • NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer or Application Developer certification.
  • NetSuite ERP Consultant or Administrator certification.

Responsibilities

  • Build business self-service capabilities, including workflows, dashboards, saved searches, Suitelets, import and mass-update tools, approval flows, and RF-SMART mobile functions, with appropriate access controls, validation, and audit trails.
  • Own the technical design of NetSuite ERP and RF-SMART WMS, including the data model, configuration-versus-customization decisions, SuiteScript, workflows, roles, and permissions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteCloud Development Framework customizations, and RF-SMART configuration.
  • Resolve platform defects and script failures and lead technical escalations with NetSuite and RF-SMART support.
  • Own sandbox, release, and deployment strategy; define which changes analysts may make without review; and approve all changes deployed to the platform, including partner work.
  • Maintain design records, a customization inventory, runbooks, and user guides for self-service tools.
  • Maintain a quarterly ERP and WMS roadmap covering self-service opportunities, release adoption, modules and SuiteApps, customization retirement, and technical debt; review it with the Enterprise Solutions Architect and Systems Team Manager.
  • Own the NetSuite side of integrations, including records, fields, endpoints, and governance limits, and collaborate on integration patterns with the Integration Developer and Enterprise Solutions Architect.
  • Coach analysts, developers, and business super-users on platform standards and self-service tools; review platform-affecting work; and partner with business systems analysts on requirements and functional design.
  • Travel up to 10%, primarily to U.S. distribution centers for warehouse system changes and go-lives.
