NetSuite Platform Architect

REP Fitness•Westminster, CO
•$135,000 - $150,000•Hybrid

About The Position

REP is hiring a hands-on NetSuite Platform Architect to serve as the technical authority for its NetSuite ERP and RF-SMART warehouse management platform. The systems support orders, inventory, and finances across multiple U.S. distribution centers, a growing retail footprint, and operations in the UK and Europe. The architect determines how the platform is designed, changed, and improved, while creating safe self-service capabilities that enable finance, warehouse, customer service, and retail teams to complete recurring tasks without relying on IT. The role includes designing and developing SuiteScript, configuring and extending RF-SMART, providing tier-3 support, and owning platform releases and deployments. The architect establishes standards that help analysts and implementation partners make safe changes, maintains platform documentation, and works to make the platform easier to change and less customized over time. The position partners with an Enterprise Solutions Architect on how NetSuite fits into the wider systems estate, with systems analysts on platform-level design arising from requirements and functional designs, and with an Integration Developer on integration patterns. The position is based at REP's headquarters in a hybrid work environment, with at least three days in the office and flexibility about which days and hours. Travel is up to 10%, primarily to U.S. distribution centers for warehouse system changes and go-lives.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of hands-on NetSuite technical experience, including at least 5 years developing SuiteScript in production environments.
  • At least 2 years owning a production NetSuite environment after go-live as an employee of the company running it; implementation-consulting experience alone does not meet this requirement.
  • Expert-level NetSuite OneWorld experience, including multi-subsidiary and multi-currency environments; SuiteScript 2.x (user event, client, scheduled, map/reduce, RESTlet, and Suitelet); SuiteFlow; SuiteBuilder; and SuiteAnalytics, including saved searches and SuiteQL.
  • Experience with SuiteCloud Development Framework, Git or other source control, and structured sandbox-to-production deployment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and returns, and experience supporting those operations in NetSuite.
  • Experience supporting accounting and finance teams in NetSuite, including how fulfillment and inventory transactions affect the general ledger, costing, and period close.
  • Experience with NetSuite integration interfaces, including SuiteTalk REST and SOAP, RESTlets, and token-based authentication.
  • Working familiarity with integration platforms such as Celigo.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite governance limits, performance and security models, role design, segregation of duties for business self-service, and release and change management practices.
  • A track record of building self-service tools that measurably reduced requests to IT.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, and to work productively as a team member.
  • Physical ability to perform the described job demands, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • RF-SMART for NetSuite experience; RF-SMART is strongly preferred. Experience with another NetSuite-based warehouse management system is also relevant.
  • NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer or Application Developer certification.
  • NetSuite ERP Consultant or Administrator certification.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence or comparable work-tracking and documentation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build business self-service workflows, dashboards, saved searches, Suitelets, import and mass-update tools, approval flows, and RF-SMART mobile functions, using appropriate role-based access, validation, and audit trails.
  • Own the technical design of NetSuite ERP and RF-SMART WMS, including the data model, configuration-versus-customization decisions, SuiteScript, workflows, roles, and permissions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, SuiteCloud Development Framework customizations, and RF-SMART configurations.
  • Resolve platform defects and script failures, and lead technical escalations with NetSuite and RF-SMART support.
  • Own the sandbox, release, and deployment strategy; define what analysts may change without review; approve all platform changes, including partner work; and maintain design records, a customization inventory, runbooks, and user guides.
  • Maintain a quarterly ERP and WMS roadmap covering self-service opportunities, release adoption, module and SuiteApp options, customization retirement, and technical debt; review it with the Enterprise Solutions Architect and Systems Team Manager.
  • Own the NetSuite side of integrations, including records, fields, endpoints, and governance limits, and collaborate on integration patterns connecting NetSuite with order management, ecommerce, logistics partners, and other systems.
  • Coach analysts, developers, and business super-users on platform standards and self-service tools; review platform-affecting work; and partner with business systems analysts who own requirements and functional design.
  • Travel up to 10%, primarily to U.S. distribution centers for warehouse system changes and go-lives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
