About The Position

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Neonatologist to join an established, collegial, neonatology practice serving the Salt Lake City metro area. This established practice provides coverage across a combination of Level III and Level II NICUs, offering an excellent mix of acuity, autonomy, and work–life balance. The role involves supporting a varying level of acuity within the NICU at St. Mark’s Hospital (Level III, 25 beds, average daily census of 15), Jordan Valley Medical Center (Level III, 20 beds, average daily census of 12, with telephonic support at the Level II West Valley campus), and Lone Peak Hospital (13-bed NICU, recently upgraded from Level II to Level III). The practice is supported by Pediatrix Neonatology of the Mountain States, which includes 8 physicians, and collaborates closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physicians. The hospitals collectively offer a balanced patient mix, with transfer pathways for complex cases. The practice emphasizes work-life balance with call from home and a shared call model.

Requirements

Must be board eligible or board certified in Neonatology

Responsibilities

Support a varying level of acuity with the NICU
Provide comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns, including conventional and HFOV, iNO, therapeutic hypothermia, advanced imaging, and in-house neonatal subspecialty support
Telephonic support at the Level II West Valley campus
Call from home, supporting sustainable work–life balance
Shared call model within a supportive, team-based practice
