About The Position
Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital, a 486-bed facility and cornerstone of the Carondelet Health Network, is seeking a Neonatologist to join its expanding Women & Newborn Center in Tucson, Arizona. This is an opportunity to help shape the trajectory of a growing Level II NICU with a clear path toward Level III designation. The role involves practicing within a collegial, mission-driven environment backed by experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and a dedicated nursing team committed to family-centered care. The position offers a chance for clinical leadership to directly influence the future of newborn medicine in Southern Arizona.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain
Responsibilities
- Provide neonatology services at Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital.
- Participate in the growth and development of a Level II NICU with plans to advance to Level III designation.
- Offer on-site physician coverage from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Be available for physician call-in with a 30-minute response time, supporting NNP coverage from 2 p.m. – 8 a.m.
- Engage in a full-time schedule with an equitable call rotation.
- Collaborate with hospital-based Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and a dedicated NICU nursing team.
- Practice within a modern Women & Newborn Center.
