About The Position

Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Neonatologist to join their established practice at HCA Florida St Lucie Hospital in Port St Lucie, FL. Port St Lucie is described as a fast-growing Florida coastal town known for its affordable cost of living and safe, suburban atmosphere. The practice features a Level I NICU, which is expanding to a Level II in early 2026 and further to a Level III in mid-2026. It includes coverage of the newborn nursery, a 25-bed NICU, and 16 all-private mother-baby rooms. The hospital expects over 1,300 annual deliveries, projected to increase to 2,000 in 2026, and provides 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner coverage, along with out-of-house Neonatologist coverage. HCA Florida St Lucie Hospital is a 222-bed facility that has served the Treasure Coast community for over 40 years. It boasts a newly expanded ER for both adults and children, is accredited by the Joint Commission, and has been awarded the Baby Friendly designation. The hospital is part of HCA Florida Healthcare, the state’s leading healthcare provider. Port St Lucie is highlighted for its central location on Florida's east coast, without the busy urban feel of larger metro hubs, its status as one of the fastest-growing counties with new housing and infrastructure, a warm year-round climate (60–90°F), beautiful beaches, and outdoor recreation opportunities like boating, fishing, and kayaking.
