About The Position

Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital, a 486-bed facility and cornerstone of the Carondelet Health Network, is seeking a Neonatologist to join its expanding Women & Newborn Center in Tucson, Arizona. This is an opportunity to help shape the trajectory of a growing Level II NICU with a clear path toward Level III designation. The role offers a collegial, mission-driven environment backed by experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and a dedicated nursing team committed to family-centered care. The position is ideal for a clinical leader who wants to directly influence the future of newborn medicine in Southern Arizona.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
• Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site physician coverage from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
• Participate in an equitable call rotation, with a 30-minute response time when on call.
• Practice within a modern Women & Newborn Center.
• Support Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and the NICU nursing team.
• Contribute to the growth and development of a Level II NICU with plans to advance to Level III designation.
