NEMT Driver
About The Position
SST Mobility provides safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation for clients traveling to medical appointments, rehabilitation services, dialysis appointments, and community programs. The company is hiring NEMT Drivers and related passenger-transportation drivers. Healthcare experience, such as CNA, EMT, or caregiving experience, is valued. Drivers who live within 30 minutes of Nashville are considered ideal. This role offers a base pay of $15 to $16.75 per hour, with premium pay opportunities at $18 per hour, a $500 sign-on bonus, and a monthly safety bonus of up to $200. Drivers are guaranteed 35 hours per week, with additional hours available and schedules of up to 40 hours per week. SST Mobility provides vehicles, paid training, free NEMT certification, planned routes, and dispatch support. There is no overnight or long-haul driving. Drivers must be available Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Occasional weekend shifts may be available and are paid at premium rates. Employment is contingent on successfully completing required pre-employment screenings, including drug testing.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Experience scheduling passenger pickups and drop-offs.
- Ability to lift, move, push, and/or pull equipment, including lifting more than 40 to 70 pounds.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check according to state and company standards.
- Willingness to complete required training and certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize safety while on the road.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Compassionate and caring personality.
Nice To Haves
- One year of prior experience in transportation services is preferred.
- Healthcare experience such as CNA, EMT, or caregiving experience is valued.
- Living within 30 minutes of Nashville is ideal.
Responsibilities
