About The Position

Bowhead seeks a part-time NAVSEA Program Analyst to support the NAVSEA SEA 01 Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Corporate Financial Management (FM) team. The role focuses on data entry, spreadsheet quality control and quality assurance, briefing updates, data-call coordination, and action-item follow-up using established templates and approved source information. Work products are prepared for team review. The position does not independently approve funding, establish priorities, or change program scope. Tasks and the support schedule are coordinated through the contract team.

  • Ability to update existing PowerPoint presentations, tables, and charts and use Word, Outlook, and shared collaboration tools such as Teams/SharePoint.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, write clear routine correspondence, and follow up professionally on deadlines and action items.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organization, and good judgment; ability to follow documented procedures, verify source information, and elevate questions rather than make unsupported changes.
  • Ability to learn existing templates and checklists, manage assigned tasks within the agreed support schedule, and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for Secret clearance at this location.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Excel lookup functions or PivotTables.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain existing requirement logs, Cost of Doing Business (CODB) bill spreadsheets, spend-plan trackers, and related files using provided source information and established templates.
  • Perform routine QC/QA of CODB bill data by checking requirement identifiers, directorates, dollar amounts, dates, funding fields, and status against source inputs; compare line-item totals with summary tabs and check for missing or duplicate entries.
  • Check existing formulas and linked totals for errors, log discrepancies, and obtain clarification through the team. Apply reviewed corrections and preserve approved baselines and formulas unless changes are authorized.
  • Update assigned slides in the weekly POM/Corporate FM brief used during SEA 01 Corporate FM Leadership Syncs. Refresh priorities, status, open/watch items, follow-up items, and the short-term calendar using confirmed inputs, and submit the draft for review.
  • Consolidate inputs and prepare basic comparisons, summaries, tables, and charts using established workbook and briefing templates. Refresh existing reports and flag unusual differences for review.
  • Maintain action-item trackers with owners, due dates, and current status; follow up with assigned stakeholders and elevate overdue actions. Capture meeting notes and action items as requested.
  • Support data-call outreach to directorate and other stakeholder points of contact using approved requests and reminders. Track submissions, identify missing information, follow up on outstanding responses, and elevate late or unresolved items.
  • Maintain shared files and version control in approved Teams/SharePoint locations, retain source references and change logs, and prepare routine correspondence and status updates for review.
  • Perform other related entry-level data-analysis and program-support tasks consistent with assigned priorities and available support hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
