About The Position

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Natural Language Processing Engineer to develop language-processing solutions that extract, classify, search, and interpret text. The role involves preparing text datasets, building and evaluating NLP models, developing production inference services, and collaborating with application and data teams to integrate language intelligence into enterprise workflows. This is a remote, full-time, direct W-2 position; C2C and 1099 arrangements are not accepted. The annual salary range is $115,000–$165,000. Applicants may include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates; the company cannot sponsor new H-1B petitions for this position.

Requirements

  • Typically 5+ years of experience in NLP, machine learning, or applied language technology, aligned with the approved requisition.
  • Strong Python skills and practical experience with NLP libraries such as spaCy, NLTK, or Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Understanding of tokenization, embeddings, language representations, text classification, and information extraction.
  • Experience preparing text datasets and evaluating models using suitable precision, recall, F1, or ranking metrics.
  • Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and at least one deep-learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience building APIs, batch workflows, or other production integrations for model inference.
  • Strong analytical, experimentation, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Experience working in iterative software delivery teams, participating in planning, defect triage, and release validation as appropriate to the assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with transformer architectures, fine-tuning, semantic search, or multilingual NLP.
  • Exposure to vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, or large language model evaluation.
  • Familiarity with cloud ML services, distributed processing, and model monitoring.
  • Relevant NLP, machine learning, or cloud certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop NLP pipelines for text classification, entity extraction, semantic search, summarization, or language understanding.
  • Prepare and label text datasets, normalize content, and implement appropriate preprocessing and feature strategies.
  • Train, fine-tune, or adapt language models and evaluate results using task-appropriate metrics.
  • Build inference APIs or batch processing components and integrate them with enterprise applications.
  • Monitor model quality, analyze errors, and document performance, limitations, and improvement opportunities.
