About The Position
The Software Engineer will work at the intersection of natural language processing, machine learning, and software engineering to develop and deploy technologies that power Apple Intelligence on device and on private compute cloud. The team has built Generative AI experiences for Writing Tools and Smart Replies, as well as transformer models for Keyboard across Apple platforms. The role spans text processing, empirical experimentation to build state-of-the-art NLP models, and productizing Generative AI features. The engineer will collaborate with engineering teams across Apple and contribute to a cross-functional team focused on developing impactful user experiences.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in NLP together with software engineering.
- Experience writing production software in Swift, C/C++, Objective-C, or Python.
- Good machine learning fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience using open-source ML toolkits such as PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience building NLP or Generative AI applications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
