Software Engineer- Machine Learning
About The Position
Anduril Industries is hiring a Software Engineer to join its growing Battlespace Awareness team. The team develops advanced algorithms and high-performance software for multi-target tracking, data fusion, battle management, autonomous robotic control, and mission planning, with an emphasis on delivering deployed solutions for mission-critical applications. The engineer will provide software engineering and development support for core team tools. Candidates with a machine learning background will also help establish ML infrastructure to improve system-parameter optimization and detect performance regressions in continuous integration. Requirements
- Professional experience using one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C.
- Demonstrated software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design.
- Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
- Experience with software testing, including Robot Framework testing and integration test development.
- Comfort using AI coding assistants such as Claude or Codex in day-to-day work.
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
- Machine learning background, particularly in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, or explainable ML such as Bayesian ML.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, React, and/or NodeJS.
- Experience with PyTorch.
- Experience with Python FastAPI.
- Experience with CesiumJS.
- Experience with faster-than-real-time (FTRT) simulation.
- Experience building Slackbot integrations.
- Master's degree, PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional experience in machine learning, especially model deployment.
Responsibilities
- Provide software engineering and development support for core Battlespace Awareness team tools.
- For candidates with an ML background, help stand up machine learning infrastructure for system-parameter optimization.
- Help build machine learning infrastructure to detect performance regressions in CI.
