Machine Learning Engineer

Peraton•Annapolis Junction, MD

About The Position

Peraton’s team supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for intelligence community data custodians. The applications facilitate information capture and approvals, enabling compliant movement of data through the customer mission space. They help standardize and simplify data movement, reuse, and integration with downstream tools. The Machine Learning Engineer designs, creates, tests, and productizes AI/ML algorithms to address business challenges and meet customer requirements. The models must learn and make predictions based on developed business logic. The role covers model architecture, data pipeline interaction, metrics application, interpretation, and presentation, along with foundational application development, infrastructure management, data engineering, and data governance. The engineer trains, retrains, deploys, schedules, monitors, and improves models using iterative user and system feedback to create scalable, high-performing solutions. The role leads geographically diverse teams and often serves as a primary point of contact for AI-related matters.
