About The Position

Infleqtion is seeking a highly experienced business development executive to drive strategic growth across the National Security sector, with a primary focus on developing large, multi-year programs within the Department of War (DoW) and the broader U.S. defense and intelligence ecosystem. The role brings quantum sensing and computing solutions to national defense missions, including contested environments, denied or degraded PNT scenarios, advanced ISR missions, and space operations. The position works with program offices, research labs, FFRDCs, Defense Primes, and senior decision-makers across the DoW and Intelligence Communities. As part of the go-to-market organization, the executive will engage and expand government-sector accounts, identify and shape opportunities aligned with Infleqtion’s capabilities, and build relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners. The role collaborates with internal capture, execution, technical, marketing, government affairs, proposals, and contracts teams to advance opportunities through closure. It also represents Infleqtion at industry events and maintains pipeline, forecast, and reporting information.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • 10 or more years of experience in the defense sector.
  • Active DoW or Intelligence Community security clearance.
  • Deep technical and domain knowledge, strong relationships, and comprehensive understanding of government funding, program, and procurement processes.
  • Experience selling complex early-stage technologies to the U.S. Government for enterprise-scale, multi-year defense programs.
  • Robust network within key DoW organizations, including PEOs, PMs, S&T organizations, Combatant Commands, service research laboratories, and FFRDCs.
  • Experience working for or with a Defense Prime or major government research agency.
  • Strong understanding of national-security mission needs where quantum sensing can provide operational advantage, including EW, PNT, ISR, space, missile defense, and advanced sensing.
  • Ability to operate in early-stage, low-TRL environments and guide customers through technology maturation, experimentation, and transition to fielding.
  • Working knowledge of relevant processes and protocols, and demonstrated success collaborating with or within Defense Primes on business development, capture, teaming, and integration strategies.
  • Ability to influence senior uniformed and civilian leadership and articulate strategic value to SES, O-6+, and equivalent senior government officials.
  • Ability to develop and deliver credible technical narratives that explain complex quantum sensing capabilities to diverse stakeholders.
  • Professionalism and discretion in classified environments, with ability to work effectively in interactions up to the TS/SCI level in multi-agency settings.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed approach; comfort creating structure, building new markets, and managing ambiguity.
  • Collaborative, enterprise-focused approach to forming internal and external partnerships.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field; an advanced degree is beneficial.
  • Military service background or direct industry experience in electronic warfare, PNT, air defense, national space security, time and frequency, or ISR.
  • Experience with quantum technologies or advanced sensing.
  • Experience with DoW acquisition pathways, including FAR-based contracts, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, BAAs, consortium-based solicitations, and rapid acquisition frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success influencing large defense programs, shaping requirements and program roadmaps, and positioning emerging technologies for program-of-record pathways.
  • Experience with quantum-based time and frequency solutions.
  • SAP/SAR program experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create, identify, shape, and pursue high-value opportunities aligned with Infleqtion technologies, solutions, and capabilities, using knowledge of DoW and Intelligence Community funding priorities and program objectives.
  • Engage government stakeholders—including PAEs, PEOs, procurement officers, OTA consortia, S&T/RDT&E directorates, and Combatant Commands—to understand mission needs and shape acquisition pathways.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through account planning, opportunity qualification, and alignment of Infleqtion capabilities with operational and programmatic requirements.
  • Partner with capture and execution teams, subject matter experts, marketing, government affairs, and proposals and contracts teams to drive opportunities through closure.
  • Build trusted relationships across DoW organizations, including service labs, major program offices, and senior uniformed and civilian leadership.
  • Collaborate with Defense Prime partners on capture, teaming, and integration strategies to position Infleqtion technologies in large platform and mission-system programs.
  • Represent Infleqtion at industry days, solicitation events, demonstrations, conferences, and related forums, communicating technology value and operational relevance.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to support corporate planning and revenue execution.
