About The Position

Infleqtion is seeking a highly experienced business development executive to drive strategic growth across the National Security sector, focusing on developing large, multi-year programs within the Department of War (DoW) and the broader U.S. defense and intelligence ecosystem. The role brings quantum sensing and computing solutions to national security missions, including contested environments, denied or degraded PNT scenarios, advanced ISR missions, and space operations. The executive will work with program offices, research labs, FFRDCs, Defense Primes, and senior decision-makers across the DoW and Intelligence Communities. As part of the go-to-market organization, the role will engage and expand government-sector accounts, develop opportunities, build partnerships, and support opportunities through closure. A U.S. citizenship and an active DoW or IC security clearance are required.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active DoW or Intelligence Community security clearance.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the defense sector.
  • Significant experience selling complex early-stage technologies to the U.S. Government for enterprise-scale, multi-year defense programs.
  • A robust network within key DoW organizations, including PEOs, PMs, S&T organizations, Combatant Commands, service research laboratories, and FFRDCs.
  • Deep technical and domain knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of government funding, program, and procurement processes.
  • Deep understanding of DoW acquisition pathways, including FAR-based contracts, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, BAAs, consortium-based solicitations, and rapid acquisition frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success penetrating and influencing large defense programs, shaping requirements and program roadmaps, and positioning emerging technologies for program-of-record pathways.
  • Strong understanding of national-security mission needs where quantum sensing can provide operational advantage, including EW, PNT, ISR, space, missile defense, advanced sensing, and quantum-based time and frequency solutions.
  • Ability to operate in early-stage and low-TRL environments, guiding customers through technology maturation, experimentation, and transition to fielding.
  • Working knowledge of relevant processes and protocols and success collaborating with or within Defense Primes on business development, capture, teaming, and integration strategies.
  • Strong influence skills with senior uniformed and civilian leadership, including the ability to articulate strategic value to SES, O-6+, and equivalent senior government officials.
  • Ability to develop and deliver credible technical narratives that explain complex quantum sensing capabilities and support value propositions for diverse stakeholders.
  • Professionalism and discretion in classified environments, with the ability to operate effectively in interactions up to the TS/SCI level in multi-agency settings.
  • Entrepreneurial, self-directed approach; comfort creating structure, building new markets, and managing ambiguity in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
  • Enterprise-focused team player who builds internal and external partnerships to drive growth.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; an advanced degree is beneficial.
  • Military-service background or direct industry experience in electronic warfare, PNT, air defense, national space security, time and frequency, or ISR.
  • Experience working for or with a Defense Prime or major government research agency, such as DARPA, ARL, NRL, AFRL, or ONR.
  • Experience with quantum technologies or advanced sensing.
  • SAP/SAR program experience.

Responsibilities

  • Use knowledge of DoW and Intelligence Community funding priorities and program objectives to identify, shape, and pursue high-value opportunities aligned with Infleqtion’s technologies, solutions, and capabilities.
  • Engage government stakeholders, including PAEs, PEOs, procurement officers, OTA consortia, S&T/RDT&E directorates, and Combatant Commands, to understand mission needs and shape acquisition pathways.
  • Build and manage a pipeline through account planning, opportunity qualification, and alignment of company capabilities with operational and programmatic requirements.
  • Partner with capture and execution teams, subject matter experts, marketing, government affairs, and proposals and contracts teams to drive opportunities through closure.
  • Build long-term relationships across DoW organizations, including service labs, major program offices, and senior uniformed and civilian leadership.
  • Use existing relationships and develop new ones to collaborate with Defense Prime partners on capture, teaming, and integration strategies for large platform and mission-system programs.
  • Represent Infleqtion at industry days, solicitation events, demonstrations, conferences, and related forums, communicating technology value and operational relevance.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to support corporate planning and revenue execution.
