About The Position

Encore is recruiting recent college graduates interested in careers in operations management or sales for its National College Leadership Program (NCLP). The five-month Manager in Training program typically starts in July and prepares participants for immediate placement into an operations, production, or sales manager role within Encore’s nationwide network of venues. The program is aimed at candidates graduating in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. Trainees complete technical, operations, and sales rotations, gain hands-on experience in venues alongside field leaders, attend instructor-led training at Encore’s corporate office in Chicago, and complete online certifications through Encore University academies in Leadership, Technical, Operations, Sales, and Service. After training, an Operations Manager manages floor operations to achieve service excellence, with a focus on customer service, staff leadership, performance management, and development. The role also contributes to organizational goals through workforce and inventory cost control. A Sales Manager guides customers through event experiences, identifies solutions that meet their goals, and uses available tools to maximize event and revenue capture from an assigned customer base. Placement may be into roles such as Operations Manager, Associate Producer, Director of Events, or Venue Sales Manager. Trainees must be able to work at a hotel location in a major metropolitan market and be flexible to relocate. Encore describes a customer-first, hospitality-focused culture and offers training, development opportunities, and career mobility. It provides services at more than 2,100 locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Candidates are subject to criminal background screening and pre-employment substance abuse testing.
