About The Position

Encore is hiring candidates for its National College Leadership Program (NCLP), a management development program for individuals interested in careers in operations management or sales. The program typically begins in July and includes five months of Manager in Training experience. After successfully completing the program, trainees are prepared for immediate placement in an operations, production, or sales manager role within Encore’s nationwide network of venues. Trainees may be placed in operations, production, or sales roles at venues such as luxury hotels, casinos, and conference centers. Trainees rotate through technical, operations, and sales functions, learn hands-on in venues alongside field leaders, attend instructor-led training at Encore’s corporate office in Chicago, and complete online certifications through Encore University academies in Leadership, Technical, Operations, Sales, and Service. Placement locations may be in major metropolitan markets across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe; trainees must be able to work at a hotel location in a major metro market and be flexible about relocating. In an Operations Manager role, graduates manage floor operations to achieve service excellence, with a focus on customer service, staff leadership, performance management, and development. They support organizational goals through effective workforce and inventory cost control. In a Sales Manager role, graduates guide customers through event experiences, identify solutions that meet customer goals, and use available tools to maximize event and revenue capture from their assigned customer base. Encore describes its culture as customer-first and hospitality-focused, and offers training and development support, career mobility, and opportunities for advancement. Compensation includes a base salary during training; after placement, the role may include a base salary plus bonus incentive.
