About The Position

Encore’s National College Leadership Program (NCLP) is intended for college graduates interested in careers in operations management or sales. The program typically starts in July and includes a five-month Manager in Training program. Trainees participate in technical, operations, and sales rotations; learn hands-on at venues alongside field leaders; attend instructor-led training at the corporate office in Chicago, Illinois; and complete online certifications through Encore University’s Leadership, Technical, Operations, Sales, and Service Academies. After successful completion, trainees are prepared for immediate placement in an operations, production, or sales manager role within Encore’s venue network. Potential placements include Operations Manager, Associate Producer, Director of Events, or Venue Sales Manager. The program is suited to candidates graduating in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. Trainees must be able to work at a hotel location in a major metro market and be flexible about relocation. The position is listed for Indianapolis, Indiana, with possible trainee placements across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. In an Operations Manager placement, the employee manages floor operations to achieve service excellence, focusing on customer service, staff leadership, performance management, and development. The role also supports organizational goals through effective workforce and inventory cost control. In a Sales Manager placement, the employee guides customers through event experiences, identifies solutions that meet their objectives, and uses available tools to maximize event and revenue capture from an assigned customer base. Encore describes its culture as customer-first and hospitality-focused, with support and training that includes technology, blended learning, and role-based development. Compensation includes a base salary during training; after placement, employees can earn a base salary plus bonus incentive.
