Your success is what's next with Custom Truck One Source. The National Account Manager – Rail will be charged with growing sales of hirail equipment in specific territories across all industries.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of direct crane sales experience.
  • Understand the North American railroad markets.
  • Collaborative sales approach.
  • Strategic sales process mindset and be oriented towards sales enablement and efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills, be able to gather and digest applicable data, and develop deep understandings of both the financial and operational levers.
  • Communication and presentation skills that can be adapted to fit the needs from the c-suite to the shop floor.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Accounting, Engineering or Business from an accredited four-year College or university or 10 years of relevant leadership experience.
  • Working knowledge of truck specifications suitable for hirail application.
  • Knowledge of competitive hirail upfitter companies and their products
  • Able to leverage CRM to improve efficiency.
  • An ability to converse / relate with owners, operators, and technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Targeted annual sales of $10m.
  • Awareness and credibility within the railroad market is paramount. Class 1 railroads, commuter railroads, short-line railroads and contractors.
  • Prepare and execute marketing plans within the territory.
  • Competitor and pricing intelligence and analysis.
  • Manage the sales process from prospect to delivery.
  • Attend relevant shows / expositions.
  • Subject matter expert for hirail vehicles and the rail industry needs in MOW.
  • Travel to customer locations across north America to perform in service training for new vehicles.
  • Other duties as requested.
