About The Position

Are you are driven and experienced National Account Manager in the food manufacturing Industry who enjoys building strong client relationships and has an appetite for driving growth. We are recruiting for a well-established food manufacturing business that supplies major retailers and businesses across the UK and Europe. They are seeking a National Account Manager to take ownership of key accounts, playing a pivotal role in strengthening relationships and driving business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on taking full ownership of customer accounts, proactively identifying new commercial opportunities, and driving strategic account growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in national account management or business development within FMCG, ideally food
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills
  • Outstanding relationship-building and communication abilities
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with a growth mindset
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Strong planning, organisational, and IT skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with major UK retailers or foodservice providers
  • Knowledge of chilled food categories and supply chain dynamics
  • Exposure to European retailers, wholesalers, or distributors

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new national accounts within retail and foodservice channels
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships to maximise revenue and margin
  • Lead commercial negotiations with both new and existing clients
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, NPD, and operations to deliver tailored customer solutions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights
  • Report on sales performance, forecasts, and KPIs to senior leadership
