The McDonalds Canada BU is searching for a results-oriented, opportunity seeker to drive the business forward. The National Account Manager will be responsible for managing sales and service level excellence supported by our internal teams, and Martin Brower as part of the famous three-legged stool. In alignment with McDonalds & Saputo strategic objectives, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading all innovation initiatives, identifying and developing non-traditional growth strategies and managing flawless end-to-end supply chain fulfillment. The opportunity to identify and nurture wider and deeper connections within the McDonalds system is upon us, and it will be up to you as National Account Manager to uncover and manage these new opportunities by leveraging the McDonalds system both nationally & globally. The role also involves managing & overseeing all activities related to Saputo’s annual pledge as a National Mission Partner and Founding Partner of Ronald McDonald House Canada. This position is based in Vaughan, Ontario; however, consideration may be given to candidates located in Montreal.

Requirements

  • A degree/diploma in Business administration or equivalent education and training
  • 5+ years’ national account management or product development experience, preferably in packaged goods
  • Foodservice channel knowledge and/or prior Sales experience would be considered an asset
  • Proven history of excellence in achieving performance targets
  • Ability to demonstrate influential leadership
  • Dependable, team oriented with a history of being able to work independently
  • Effective communication and interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and accountable
  • Able to work within tight deadlines in a multi-task, high priority environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support the achievement of the short, medium and long-term strategic business initiatives in alignment with the customer’s growth strategy
  • Maintain existing, and secure new business through innovative initiatives, new products, developing new digital promotional platforms while maximizing profitability
  • Provide leadership on the Joint Business Plan, including defining and driving key growth initiatives
  • Development and achievement of the annual budget by: Reviewing and presenting creative new ideas to McDonald’s for product and menu expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate with Quality, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain and Demand Planning on product development, launches and customer-specific requirements.
  • Reviewing weekly volume, profit, sales trends and costs relative to budget
  • Creating and analyzing sales reports to understand performance and identify opportunities
  • Developing, implementing, and measuring corrective action plans where necessary
  • Support the annual budgeting process and regular demand review meetings to ensure alignment and attainment of the P&L expectations for the McDonald’s business unit
  • Manage and support the day-to-day Distribution/Supply network relationships (internal and external)
  • Manage all aspects of the selling functions including, but not limited to pricing, profit, product presentations, tracking competitive activities, forecasting, product supply/demand, logistics, quality assurance
  • Develop & strengthen collaborative relationships at all levels within the Three-legged stool
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting through the provision of insights & competitive activities
  • Communicate internally and coordinate activities across the various functions within Saputo
