About The Position

The National Account Manager (NAM) is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic growth plan for the designated customer(s). The NAM is responsible for driving account revenue growth, profitability, and the adoption of ResMed solutions. The NAM is the primary customer contact for all commercial interaction and provides the ResMed sales team with direction, leadership, and communication regarding the designated account(s). This role involves coordinating with Senior Management, all levels of Sales and Sales Management, Marketing, New Business Development, Clinical, Customer Service, Finance, and Digital Healthcare Technology to manage national account contract sales negotiation, including administration, contractual and regulatory compliance. The NAM will work in conjunction with the field sales team to uphold consistency, align and execute strategic directives, develop sales goals for each account, report quarterly sales and trends, and generate and analyze intelligence necessary to communicate direction and leadership to the sales force. Additionally, the role requires effectively managing the National Accounts budget to be cost-efficient, eliciting feedback on customer/market needs, excelling in all forms of communication (including video and web conferencing), establishing, visiting, and preserving an active network of both internal and external customers, and maintaining knowledge of reimbursement environments affecting customer product lines, including non-ResMed services. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Salesforce.com
  • Ability to effectively analyze sales figures and provide accurate sales forecasting
  • Ability to read, research, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and professional business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of successful outside sales performance in a business-to-business sale is required
  • Prior top-ranked Medical / Business-to-Business Sales
  • Motivated individual with demonstrated execution and results focus and accountability for continuous self-improvement along with an ability to act with a sense of urgency in all pursuits
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office - emphasis on Excel & PowerPoint
