The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is hiring a field enumerator to collect crop and livestock information from farm and ranch operators and agricultural industry representatives. Data is gathered through phone and in-person interviews and is used to develop agricultural estimates for producers, buyers, and state and federal governments. This is part-time, intermittent work with flexible days and hours. All training is provided. The role is intended for someone from Sheridan County, Montana. Most surveys are voluntary, and rejection is a normal part of the job. The work cannot be done only at night or on weekends, and applicants with rigid work or other commitments may not have enough availability. Candidates must pass a background check.
