The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is hiring a Field Enumerator to collect crop and livestock information from farm and ranch operators and agricultural industry representatives. Data is gathered through phone and in-person interviews and is used to estimate agricultural data for producers, buyers, and state and federal governments. This is part-time, intermittent work with flexible days and hours. Enumerators need to be available when work is needed; the position cannot be done only at night or on weekends and may not suit people with rigid work schedules or other commitments. All training is provided, and an iPad is supplied for work. Most surveys are voluntary, and rejection is part of the job. Applicants must pass a background check.
