About The Position
A family of four in New Canaan, Connecticut, is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny for their two children, ages 6 and 2. The ideal schedule is Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., with 40 guaranteed hours per week and some flexibility in the exact hours. Overtime may be available with advance notice, and the family is open to additional hours on Saturday or Sunday. The nanny must be willing to travel during family vacations and stay with the children overnight on specified dates, to be confirmed before hiring. The nanny will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment; support the children’s development and daily routines; plan meals and activities; transport the children as needed; keep their spaces organized; and communicate regularly with the parents. The family seeks a warm, energetic, reliable professional interested in a long-term commitment.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Clean and valid driver’s license and a car; mileage and gas will be covered.

Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the children’s development and well-being.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals, prepare bottles, and assist with feeding according to the children’s needs and routines.
- Organize and engage children in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor play.
- Plan and facilitate educational activities, arts and crafts, and outings that encourage learning, creativity, and social development.
- Safely transport children to scheduled activities, appointments, and playdates as needed.
- Read to the children and encourage language development, curiosity, and a love of learning.
- Keep children’s bedrooms, playroom, toys, and play areas clean, tidy, and organized.
- Maintain daily logs of the children’s activities, meals, naps, and routines, and provide parents with regular updates and photos.
- Assist with occasional family-related errands as requested.
- Travel occasionally with the family and stay with the children overnight on specified dates.
