Part Time Nanny – Pleasanton, CA
About The Position
A welcoming, multilingual family in Pleasanton, California, is seeking an experienced, nurturing part-time nanny to primarily care for a newborn arriving at the end of November and occasionally care for their 4-year-old child. The family home is smoke-free and pet-free, and the family speaks Chinese. The schedule is Monday through Friday for approximately 20 hours per week, about four hours per day. The family can accommodate a schedule between 8:00 AM–12:00 PM or 9:00 AM–1:00 PM. The start date is ASAP. The nanny will provide attentive newborn care and occasional care for the older child when they are not in school. Responsibilities include feeding support, personal care, age-appropriate routines, and light housekeeping related to the children. Compensation is $29–$32 per hour. Candidates will be subject to a background check and must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. The family is an equal opportunity employer.
Requirements
- Prior professional experience caring for newborns or infants.
- A reliable personal vehicle for commuting to and from the home.
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Infant and Child CPR and First-Aid certification.
- Fluency or proficiency in Chinese.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for a newborn infant.
- Occasionally care for the 4-year-old child when they are not in school.
- Prepare bottles and formula, assist with bottle feedings, and wash and sanitize feeding supplies.
- Support infant and preschooler personal care routines, including diaper changes, potty training, dressing, and bathing as needed.
- Maintain soothing, age-appropriate nap and awake-time routines.
- Complete light infant- and child-related housekeeping, including tidying and children’s laundry.
