About The Position
A family in Santa Clara, California, is seeking a professional nanny to care for their 6-month-old baby boy. The role is a long-term commitment of at least six months, with a required three-day paid trial. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The family follows structured care routines and has a vaccination policy that will be discussed with candidates. The home is smoke-free and has steep stairs. The caregiver must take sick leave if coughing, sneezing, or experiencing other symptoms of illness. Candidates are subject to a background check and must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. The caregiver is hired directly by the family; Wellthy is not the employer.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional infant childcare experience.
- Infant CPR/First Aid certification.
- Fluency in English, as daily reading to the baby is required.
- Ability to follow structured household protocols and routines precisely.
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must comply with the family's illness policy and take sick leave when experiencing symptoms such as coughing or sneezing.
- Must undergo a background check.
Responsibilities
- Follow the family's established feeding schedule and care routines closely.
- Handle diaper changes, including washing the baby after potty.
- Read to the baby daily to support early language development.
- Take the baby on daily neighborhood walks.
- Trim the baby's nails as needed.
- Keep child areas clean by sanitizing toys, cleaning play mats, tidying toys, and washing soiled baby clothes after diaper changes.
